Requires custom firmware files on Switch SD card.

Press the Payload Selector [+] button once to check the current payload (LED Indicator)

Hold the Payload Selector [+] button to change the selected payload (LED Indicator)

Enter RCM (Recovery Mode) on your Nintendo Switch

  1. Power off your Nintendo Switch (NOT Standby or Sleep)
  2. Insert your RCM Jig into the Right Joycon slot, sliding it all the way down
  3. Hold down the [Vol+] button and press the [Power] button, the Switch will now enter Recovery Mode (RCM) but the screen will stay offswitch rcm mode jig volume power button
  4. On the Payload Injector, press the Payload Selector [+] button to check which payload is selected (the LED indicator will illuminate)
  5. Insert the Payload Injector into the Nintendo Switch USB-C port
  6. The payload will automatically be pushed to your Switch and it will boot to your custom firmwareswitch atmosphere splash

To add or update custom firmware / homebrew payloads:

  1. Connect the Payload Injector to your PC via MicroUSB, it will be recognised as a USB Storage Device
  2. Copy your payload file to the corresponding folder, see table above
  3. All payload files must be renamed to payload.bin

Support: Format / Reset Payload Injector

Default Payload Injector Files

  1. Plug the Payload Injector into your PC via MicroUSB
  2. Format the Payload Injector as a FAT32 USB Drive
  3. Extract the folders from the default_payloads.zip to the root of the Payload Injector USB Drive
  4. Safely remove the Payload Injector once complete

Support: Payloader Injector Firmware

Payload Injectors from payloadinjector.shop are updated to the latest firmware (1.2) that provides the following changes:

  • Disables the payload selector button when battery is low to prevent data corruption caused by insufficient power
  • LED Indicator will now change to display battery state
  • LED Indicator will now flash during read / write operations (USB to PC transfers)

All future firmware files will be found here

  1. Download and extract the firmware files
  2. Connect the Payload Injector to your PC via MicroUSB, it will be recognised as a USB Storage Device
  3. Copy the IAP folder to the root of the Payload Injector USB Storage Device on your PC
  4. Safely disconnect the Payload Injector from your PC
  5. Reconnect the Payload Injector to your PC and the firmware will be automatically updated (takes around 3 seconds)
  6. The IAP folder will be automatically deleted and the Payload Injector can be disconnected.
